Objective of the Course
To impart advance knowledge in Library and Information Science and to provide the required skills for managing modern library and information centres.
Duration of the Course
The duration of the Course is one year.
Eligibility for the Admission
A Candidate who have passed BLIS degree examination of this University or an examination of any other Universities / Institutions accepted by the Syndicate of this University as equivalent thereto.

Examinations
Examination shall be of three hours duration for each paper. Examination will be held at the end of the year. The Candidates failing in any subject(s) may be permitted to reappear in the subsequent examinations.
Question Paper Pattern
Time: 3 Hours Max: 100 Marks

Nine Questions. All Questions carry equal marks.

Candidate will be asked to answer any five of the nine questions.
Passing Minimum
The Candidate shall be declared to have passed the examination, if they secure not less than 50 marks in each examination.
Classification of successful candidates
Successful Candidates passing all the examinations securing the marks.
- 60% and above, and
- 50% and above but below 60% in the aggregate of the marks for all subjects shall be declared to have passed the examination in I Class and II Class respectively.
